This photo was taken in 1939 in Abyssinia, now Ethiopia, by an unknown Italian soldier. It later became the property of the British army following his capture and was used as their Xmas card in 1940
My beautiful Sierra Leone! It is so amazing to see all the smiles and laughter even in the midst of poverty and post-traumatic stress! If they can do it, why can’t we? We need to quit complaining and just keep on pressing on!
